My last blogger post

This is my last post to this blog.
But even though I haven't posted to this blog in a while, this is not the end of my blog. It's simply moving. Moving to my own website.
Hope to see you there. I will share the URL when my new website is completed.
Thank you for reading this blog.

The Gift

Music.
A rhythmic sequence of tones,
or a window to the soul.

Music can move you, or stop you in your tracks,
excite, or haunt;
bring joy, or sadness,
laughter, or tears.
Music is the rhythm of life.

A melody, a simple expression of God's love,
or a magnificent revelation of His grandeur.
A complete story, or a single moment in time.
Music is the flavor of life.

Bach gave us God's word,
Beethoven gave us God's fire,
Mozart gave us God's laughter,
Ravel gave us God's dance.

God gave us music,
that we may pray without words.
from a German opera house (adapted).

Una pequeña vida perdurable / A Short Everlasting Life

Una pequeña vida perdurable

Inútil naces,
frágil, pequeña;
en tu capullo encerrada
al mundo con timidez te asomas,
para luego abrirte
y mostrar tu belleza
y ofrecer tus perfumes
con dulzura de miel.
Al mundo deleitas,
erguida, majestuosa;
con vírgenes colores
a los ojos encantas.
Tus pétalos
de delicada suavidad
forman la obra de arquitectura
perfecta.
Corta es tu vida,
inútil tu hermosura;
te marchitas
y vives tu propio otoño.
Te vas de este mundo,
de la naturaleza desviado,
y abres el paso a otra rosa,
tan bella como tú.

A Short Everlasting Life

Useless is your birth,
Fragile, small;
In your bud encased,
You timidly begin to appear,
To later open,
And show your beauty,
And offer your perfume
With the sweetness of honey.
The world you delight,
Erect, majestic;
With pure colors
You enchant the eyes.
Your petals
Of delicate softness
Form the perfect work of architecture.
Short is your life;
Your beauty useless;
You wither
And live your own autumn.
You leave this world,
Deviated from nature,
And open the path for another rose,
As beautiful as you.

Amanecer / Dawn

Amanecer

Yo canto a la vida,
el nuevo día ha llegado.
todo ha vuelto a despertar.
Yo canto al nuevo día,
vida nueva me ha dado
que me llena de felicidad.
Yo canto al amanecer;
todo brilla con el resplandor
de una nueva vida.
Yo canto a la vida,
Yo canto al nuevo día,
Yo canto al amanecer

Dawn

I sing to life,
The new day has arrived,
Everything has again awakened.
I sing to the new day.
New life  bestowed on me,
Which fills me with joy.
I sing to dawn,
Everything shines with the splendor
of new life.
I sing to life,
I sing to the new day,
I sing to dawn.

Anochecer / Dusk

Anochecer

El sol rojo
anuncia el ocaso;
el día muere,
llevándose consigo
una parte de mi vida

Dusk

The scarlet sun
announces the sunset;
the day expires,
taking with it
a part of my life.
